This morning we shipped our bikes to Helen's Cycles in Santa Monica, California. A pivotal moment for us that really brings home the reality of our many months of planning. As we carefully disassembled the bikes last evening and prepared them for the long flight out, as well as the long ride back, we were too caught up in our tasks to fully appreciate the moment. This morning, however, it was a bit different. After completing the paperwork, a swipe of the card, a signature or two, and then, a deep breath. Our journey has begun.
